3 Scientists Bags 2021 Nobel Prize In Physics Award

Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselmann, and Giorgio Parisi received the Nobel Prize in Physics on Tuesday for “breakthrough contributions to our knowledge of complicated physical systems.”

Japan, Germany, and Italy are represented by the three scientists.

Syukuro Manabe and Klaus Hasselmann were recognized for their contributions to “physical modeling of Earth’s climate, measuring variability, and accurately projecting global warming.”

Giorgio Parisi received the second part of the prize for “discovering the interplay of disorder and fluctuations in physical systems from atomic to planetary scales.”

Goran Hansson, the secretary-general of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, announced the winners on Tuesday.

Roger Penrose, Reinhard Genzel, and Andrea Ghez received the physics prize in 2020 for their discoveries that have advanced our understanding of the universe, especially work on black holes.
