Bill Gates reportedly gave his ex wife stocks worth $2Billion

America billionaire and  Microsoft Founder, Bill Gates who announced his separation from his wife, Melinda Gates, have given her a stock worth billions of dollars.

The couple who announced their divorce through a joint statement posted on Bill’s Twitter account on May 3 are already in the process of splitting up their wealth. Bill who is worth $124 billion has given out 2billion worth of stocks to his estranged wife.

The couple had shocked many as they disclosed that they don’t see themselves getting old anymore after 27 years of marriage. The estranged couple pleaded with the public to give them the much privacy and space they need to be able to navigate this new chapter of their lives.

According to a document obtained by TMZ, the Microsoft founder’s Investment firm, Cascade Investment LLC, made a transfer of 14million shares of Canadian National Railway Co and more than 2.9 million shares of AutoNation Inc to his estranged wife minutes after she filed for divorce.

Based on the stock prices, the shares are worth $1.8 billion.

Melinda Gates have already filed for divorce from her husband as she revealed in the paoerwork that they have been living a separate life prior to her filing.

She asked the court to dissolve their marriage as it is irretrievably broken. She further pleaded with the judge to rule that their marriage ended the day they were separated.The paper works was filed at King County Superior Count Clerk, Washington where the couple reside.

It has been reported that the couple had no pre-nuptial agreement before they got married in 1964.
