DSS raises alarm over fraudulent recruitment

The Department of State Services (DSS) has raised alarm over a fraudulent recruitment process aimed at defrauding naive members of the public who are seeking for jobs in the Service.

The agency stated that the fraudulent recruitment process is been carried out by a man identified as, Jesustofunmi Nifemi Alabi.

DSS spokesperson Peter Afunnaya, stated that the Service is not recruiting. He further distanced himself from a Facebook page which was allegedly created by Alabi Afunnaya as he stated that the DSS does not own a Facebook account or operate other social media platforms.

The statement read:

“This is to inform the public about the fraudulent activities of one Jesustofunmi Nifemi ALABI who has created a Facebook group. SSS/DSS Recruitment 2019/2020 to deceive gullible job hunters. ALABI is the CEO/Chairman of Funrok & Son Nigeria Limited and uses phone number 08112597703.

The service is not recruiting and does not own a Facebook account or operate other social media platforms. Job seekers are enjoined to make enquires from the Service’s Headquarters Abuja, it’s formations nationwide or official website, www.dss.gov.ng”.
