Fagun is charged with impersonation and acquiring N70 million under false pretenses on two counts.

The defendant reportedly pretended to be Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and took money from Alhaji Bukar Dalori for the 2020 All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship campaign in Edo.

The offence is penalized under the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006, sections 1(1)(b) and 1(3).

The other count violates sections 179 of the Penal Code Law Caps 12 Laws of Borno State.
