Ekweremadu wrote UK on kidney donation to daughter + Letter –

Facts have emerged that a former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and his wife, Beatrice, who are in detention in the United Kingdom over allegation of organ harvesting informed the United Kingdom of the purpose of their journey.

Recall that the Metropolitan Police on Thursday announced the arrest of the couple and arraigned them also same day.

They were ordered detained by the court until July 7, 2022 when they are to appear again in court.

According to available information, if found guilty of the offence of organ harvesting, the least they can get is 10 years imprisonment.

But a letter written by Ekweremadu to the British High Commission to procure visa for the alleged victim of the organ harvesting, Ukpo Nwamini David, stated clearly the purpose of their intention.

The letter, dated December 28, 2021 and addressed to the British High Commission clearly stated that boy will donate his kidney to Ekweremadu’s daughter in a United Kingdom Hospital.

In the letter, Ekweremadu told the British Embassy: “David and Sonia will be at the Royal Free Hospital London, and I will be providing the necessary funding, I have enclosed a statement of my bank account.”

The letter reads: “I am writing in support of the visa application made by Mr Ukpo Nwamini David, who is currently having medical investigations for a kidney donation to Ms Sonia Ekweremadu.

“David and Sonia will be at the Royal Free Hospital London, and I will be providing the necessary funding. I have enclosed a statement of my bank account.”
