End SARS: Sanwo-Olu Orders Immediate Release Of Protesters Arrested At The Toll Gate

On Thursday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu directed the police to release all End SARS demonstrators detained in the state.
The military held a remembrance of the October 20 Lekki toll gate shooting on Wednesday.
Sanwo-Olu ordered that all innocent and peaceful persons apprehended be released immediately.
Only the man who was arrested at the toll booth with deadly weapons, including a machete, will face charges.
“Everyone arrested in connection with the protest has been freed, with the exception of one person who was caught with hazardous weapons.”
“He who admitted to police that he joined the protest to sow mayhem,” the governor revealed.
Sanwo-Olu praised the police for being aware of their obligation to identify and isolate troublemakers among law-abiding citizens.
The Lagos governor urged youths to be stakeholders in the state’s development and reaffirmed his commitment to reconciliation.
Sanwo-Olu invited them to join the rebuilding effort in order to restore the working capabilities of institutions harmed by the 2020 catastrophe.
