FG reintroduces new COVID-19 restrictions rules

New Covid-19 restrictions rules have been reintroduced by The Federal Government of Nigeria.

The Nationwide COVID-19 restrictions would begin on Tuesday, May 11 from 12am.

On Monday, May 10 at a briefing in Abuja, Dr Mukhatar Mohammed, a member of the Presidential Steering Committe (PSC) on COVID-19 made this public announcement.

He said that the government has directed that all bars, and nightclubs should remain closed. Also, the Nationwide 12am to 4am curfew which was imposed earlier will still remain rigid.

He stated that there would be no access to government institutions without wearing of face mask. He further revealed that there is a limitation to government meetings and travel which would only take place virtually.

He added that only important international travels would be encouraged as all existing protocols needs to be strictly adhered to.

He however stated there is no limitation to intra state travel.
