FRSC Commences ‘Operation Show Your Driver’s Licence’ In Lagos

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Lagos has announced that drivers will be required to present their license starting today.
The operation will culminate on October 10, according to Olusegun Ogungbemide, the state’s corps commander.
He stated that a situation in which drivers are driving without a license is no longer acceptable.
The sector commander bemoaned the state’s high percentage of unpicked permanent driver’s licenses.
“The initial phase of the special patrol, dubbed ‘Operation Show Your Driver’s License,’ revealed that some motorists continue to drive without a valid driver’s license, while others have none at all,” he explained.
“With the recent surge in vehicular movements as a result of the ember months, all drivers should be familiar with their driver’s licenses. “The exercise will guarantee that all drivers have valid vehicle papers as the command ‘Operation Show Your Driver’s Licence and Vehicle Licence’ begins.
All vehicles impounded, according to Ogungbemide, would not be freed until the drivers produce proof of having the required documents.
