Through the Audio Visual Rights Society, Nollywood actors and actresses protested the alleged illegal use of their intellectual property by a hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, today (AVRS).

Other Nollywood celebs, including Jide Kosoko, Fred Amata, Yemi Solade, and Mahmood Alli-Balogun, were seen during a nonviolent protest at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, GRA, Lagos.

At the demonstration, Yinka Akanbi, Grace Amah, Ejike Asiegbu, and Sunny McDon, as well as movie producers and directors, were present.

Alli-Balogun, the CEO of AVRS, revealed that the hospitality company has refused to pay for the use of their intellectual properties in their multiple locations, which is why they are protesting.

He went on to claim that discussions with the management of the hotel company had reached a brick wall, sparking the protest.

According to Alli-Balogun, the hotel company owes the copyright collective group N50 million.
