Jimmy Choo Announces NFT Collection

Jimmy Choo has announced a collaboration on an NFT work with artist Eric Haze and fashion designer Poggy.

The NFT, which will be auctioned off on the Binance NFT marketplace, displays a revolving digital shoe against a background of Haze’s distinctive lettering.

Along with the NFT artwork, there will be 8,888 mystery boxes for sale. The winner of the NFT auction will also receive a tangible pair of hand-painted sneakers.

There will be four types of mystery boxes: a single Jimmy Choo/Eric Haze LOVE 1000 Glitter, 445 super-rare cards, 3,109 rare cards, and 5,333 neutral cards. Scarcity is represented by each of these categories.
Whatever is inside the mystery package, it will cost 30 Binance USD, or $13,672 USD.

Buyers who receive a super-rare card will have the opportunity to obtain a special Jimmy Choo NFT design in the future.

The Jimmy Choo Foundation will receive all auction proceeds in support of Women for Women International. The non-profit organization is dedicated to assisting female combat survivors.

Haze, who began his career in New York in the 1980s, is best recognized for his famous hand calligraphy, whereas Poggy is known for fusing streetwear and traditional clothing. Within their partnership with Jimmy Choo, a distinct style than the company is renowned for is introduced.

This is not the first time the business has collaborated with Haze and Poggy.
The trio just released a street-art-inspired collection of men’s, women’s, and unisex footwear.

“When it came time to turn over the creative materials to their team for production, I also trusted the overall concept so much that I gave them an unusual degree of leeway to take liberties and new paths,” Haze explained in an interview with Jing Daily.

NFTs are becoming more popular in the fashion sector. Gucci and Burberry have both released NFT collections, while Dolce & Gabbana recently sold its collection for a total of $6 million.
Jimmy Choo’s entry into the digital artform is just further confirmation that NFTs are becoming a significant aspect of current fashion, as the premium company joins other large names in legitimizing it.
