Late comedienne, Ada Jesus’ family release funeral arrangement

Nigeria comedienne, Mmeaoma Mercy Nnedi a.k.a Ada Jesus, would soon be put to rest.

The comedienne(aged 24) who died after battling kidney failure for months would soon be buried.


The comedienne’s family has released her obituary date. Ada would be laid to rest on Friday, May 28 in her hometown in Oguta, Imo State, where she resides with her husband. A Christian Wake Keep and Comedy Nite would first be held to honour her on Thursday, May 27.



The comedienne died on Thursday, 21st of April following a kidney ailment. She had a cardiac arrest on Wednesday night, 20 April due to the ailment and was rushed to an ICU  where she met with her untimely death.



The Comedian sickness was believed to have been spiritual as she had publicly offended religious leader, Pastor Chukwuemeka Ohanemere Odumeje and actress Rita Edochie. She had also insulted some traditional leaders.


The comedienne had sought forgiveness from them all but Odumeje and Edochie remained resistant to forgive her. The comedienne had made a derogatory remark regarding them, and had accused the pastor of faking his miracles.

The two were mercilessly dragged online for their unforgiving attitude.


After much please from people, the pastor and actress offered an olive branch to her, Pastor Odumeje had offered her mother a large some of money for her treatment but her mother turn down his offer.

Despite the efforts made by her fans to see that she got well by creating a GoFundMe for her dialysis, the young star still gave up the ghost.


Nigerians have continued to blame her death on the two public figures as they called for their arrest.
