Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex is on her way to becoming a Children book author.
The Hollywood actress is ready to release her highly anticipated book, The Bench, which focuses on a father and son relationship which is inspired by her husband and son.
The publisher of her book, Random House Children’s Books announced that the Duchess has her book under works. The book which is inspired by her husband, Prince Harry and her 2year old son, Archie is set to be released on June 8.
Meghan during her press release for the book said she first wrote the book as a poem she wrote for her husband on Father’s Day.
“The Bench started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father’s Day, the month after Archie was born. That poem became the story.
The book follows a father and son,s special bond told through the lens of a mother, it touchingly captured the evolving and expanding relationship between fathers and sons and reminds us of the many ways that love can take shape and be expressed in a modern family”.
She further said of the illustration which was done by Christian Robinson, who is a Caldecott winning and bestselling artist.
“Christian layered in beautiful and ethereal watercolour illustrations that capture the warmth, joy, and comfort of the relationship between fathers and sons from all works of life. This illustration was particularly important to me and Christian and I worked closely to depict this special bond through an inclusive lens. My hope is that The Bench resonates with every family, no matter the makeup, as much as it does with mine”.
The announcement of her book release was met with negative reaction, especially from Piers Morgan who felt the actress is not in any position to right such type of book as she ruined her husband’s relationship with his father and also doesn’t have a good relationship with her own father.
In his column for MailOnline, the former Good Morning Britain host, slammed the Duchess for hypocrisy given her estranged relationship with her dad.
He stated that the Duchess had mercilessly disowned her father and has refused to have anything to do with him despite the fact that they live close by. He also went on to say that she disowned and abandoned her siblings and family members from her father’s side.
He accused the Duchess of manipulating her husband to turn his back on his family and to relinquish his Royal titles.
We are sure this book is going to be a top seller in America.
