Ojelabi Emerges As New Lagos APC Chairman

Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Hon. Tunde Balogun held its congress on Saturday at the Onikan stadium.

The congress, which was kick-started after the arrival of the state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu around 11am, has in attendance state congress officials and delegates from the local government areas, including past governors of the state, 20 Local Government Chairmen, 40 lawmakers, 24 House of Representatives, 3 Senators from the state, Ward delegates, former House of Representatives and former House of Assembly.

At the state congress, 37 party officials at the state level are expected to emerge after an election coordinator by congress officials from the national secretariat, Abuja.

The list adopted by the State Congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos had former House of Representatives member and ex-Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Pastor Cornelius Oyefolu Ojelabi, as the Chairman-designate; another ex-Lawmaker, Hon Sumi Odesanya is the Secretary-designate; former Commissioner for Special Duties in the state, Seye Oladejo is the Publicity Secretary-designate while former Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Comrade Ayodele Adewale is the Organising Secretary-designate, among others.
