He said:

Whatever we have is given to us by His, be it wealth, wife, husband, children etc.and if it got taken away by God, all we can do is give God glory for actually giving us the privilege to enjoy those wealth or kids temporarily and it  not for us to complain, blame and question God”.

His son, Leke Adeboye during the service quoted Romans 8:38 as he said death cannot take separate a from the love of God.

We will not begrudge His. To live is for Christ, to die is gain”.

Reflecting on all the times he and his late brother had together, he revealed that they always did everything together before they got married. He also gushed about his late brother’s achievements and his zeal for doing God’s work.

He said:

“We did everything together, until we got married. Same schools, same everything. We got married on the same day just a few years apart. He taught me to spread my wings apart, to soar high, to blaze the trail. He demonstrated what it truly meant to serve with brilliance and class. He was full of wisdom, solid on logic, and gifted with an incredible sense of humour. He lived entirely for the Lord and his work, dedicating his life to dedicating and inspiring young people on how to capitalize on and maximise their faith in any environment they find themselves. And ensuring they make heaven at the end”.

Leke drew so many outrage after he and the youth of the church from all over the world shaved their hairs and beards in honour of him. The ladies in the church were also not left out as they also cut their hairs as a sign of respect to their fallen hero.

According to him, it is a tradition in the church to honour any heroic youth who dies with such tradition.

The personal assistant to the General Overseer shared a video of him in the salon barbing his hair as he revealed that the barber was the one him and his brother always patronised.

A lot of Nigerians condemn the actions and wondered if that tradition is biblical.
