The singer who first made her way into the world of Nigeria music after winning Project Fame has made great waves with her love for RnB. From her first song ‘Jankoliko’ to ‘Kedike’ , ‘Fallen in Love’, ‘Emi ni Baller’; her singles were truly a hit! This entertainer has blown us away with her sonorous voice several times and will be missed in the secular music industry.
Chidinma made this revelation via her Instagram page, as she announces she would love to be addressed as Minister Chidinma, which is a title Gospel singers use.
The brand ambassador who clocked the big 30 recently, used the opportunity to announce her passion for God and his works. She referred to herself as a crusader of the Gospel of Christ.
“MY NAME IS MINISTER CHIDINMA EKILE. I’M A CRUSADER OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS. I AM A CRUSADER OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST”.
To mark her foray into the Gospel World, the actress has released her first single which is titled ‘Jehovah Overdo’.
The new gospel singer is signed to opular gospel singer Mercy Chinwo’s record label, Eezee Concepts. The song has amassed over 220 thousand views on YouTube.
According to her label company, during her break from music, the singer has been observing quiet time as she has been waiting on God, rebirthing herself and preparing for her new world.
“Her musical career is the beginning of greater things to come”, her record label said.
Chidinma began her music career as a chorister in her church before growing to become a music director at a young age. Her winning MTN Project Fame brought her into limelight and made her delve into secular music. After leaving the house, she went on to release first song ‘Jankoliko’ which featured Sound Sultan. Her singing prowess made Clarence Peter’s record label which he co founded with Ill Bliss, Capital Hill/Goretti company, sign her. She released her first song for the record label, Kedike, which made a lot of airwaves and was a massive hit in Nigeria. The song paved way for her and made her a household name.
We anticipate a collaboration between her and Mercy Chinwo in the future.
As she journeys into the world of gospel music, Suga wishes her the best!
