The spokesperson of the Taraba state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Aaron Atimas, on Tuesday, disclosed that the party has lost one of its strongest member, Abdullahi Kanti.
Atimas, who stated this while briefing journalists in Jalingo said Kanti before his death was the campaign coordinator of the APC governorship candidate, Senator. Emmanuel Bwacha for Karm Lamido LGA of the state.
He stressed that Kanti died on the December 27, 2022, in a ghastly accident along Lau road while driving to Jalingo.
He added that his remains had already been evacuated and deposited at the FMC mortuary, Jalingo.
Reacting to the unfortunate incident, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, described the death of Hon Kanti as a personal loss.
He maintained that he personally knew the deceased when both of them won elections into the State House of Assembly in 1998.
He expressed sadness that his campaign council would miss a diligent politician and notable man of peace.
Bwacha who prayed God to grant him eternal rest noted that he would be buried on Sunday, December 31, 2022, in accordance with Christian rites.
